I have worked as a nurse on different levels from acute care to Long term care, to home care, to hospice and as a med aide instructors and now a Nurse navigator. I love helping people to be the best they can be. I am empathetic to others, situations. I perform the Aces and Edinburgh at my current position as a Nurse Navigator to low income expecting mothers. I refer as needed to local mental health services. I also collaborate with their medical physician's based upon their various needs.
I managed a group home setting with Developmental Disabilities and many were dealing with mental health issues. I was a participant or member in the professional individual habilitation program for each individual client. I have seen many successes in this job, by going beyond the cookie cutter applications to out of the box interactions. Such as music, art and horticultural therapy, paid by medicaid.
After 28 years as a program Coordinator of a group home setting. I worked with Woodland centers as a emergency mental health counselor for persons attempting suicide and or homicide.
