As an educator, my core values drive my work. I prioritize community, kindness, joy, equity, and data-informed decision making. These values guide me in creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every student can thrive.
Building Community: Engaging and listening to stakeholders has been at the center of my work as the 9th Grade Success lead, Advisory Lead, AVID Coordinator, MEChA Advisor, and more
Centering Kindness and Joy: Through a growth mindset and instructional coaching model based on the Center for Educational Leadership's approach, I provide high support to meet colleagues and students where their are at in their learning
Equity Focused: I strive to create an environment where equity guides action, ensuring that every student has access to opportunities and resources to success by mentoring teachers and colleagues on best practices for instruction and intervention in areas like advisory, testing, and coursework
Data-Informed Decision Making: I am adept at collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources to inform educational practice, as can be seen in my research work leading to improving literacy instruction, MTSS, and postsecondary outcomes
