In the years that I have been working as a HHA, I have been able to understand that the more love, attention and dedication you give people, you are not only brightening their day but their day to day becomes easier, since they have enough with the diseases they may have or simply because of their age. I like to talk to them, prepare their snacks, light things that they ask me to do, I like to keep their area clean and organized, I take their vital signs when I get home and when I leave because I would like to feel safe that I am leaving him well, I wash their clothes and also when I transfer them to a recliner or sofa both in a tow truck or walker I make sure he is safe. I have experience with patients in bed, with patients with peg tube, with patients who have difficulty walking, I have experience in oral care, in wound care, I do not clean the wound as such but I do around it, I always keep their skin well hydrated with creams after the bath since this helps them keep their skin healthy and avoid wounds, I keep their nails short (I don't cut them, just lime them). And something I also do is listen to them, not that they listen to me. I am responsible and punctual in my work, I follow the rules of Hippa and universal precautions, I always like to inform my superiors of any patient problem
