Day shift supervisor on the Med/Surg floor where I oversee the LPNs and arms monitor various surgical recovery patients. Made daily rounds with the surgeon and medical doctor. Hang blood and monitor the patients receiving the blood, started IV. Dressing changes to wound, foley Catheter care and removal. Monitored patient on Telemetry. Orthopedic patients, OB/ Gyn patient who had surgeries.
I was the day shift RN and l worked with the inmates doing intake interview, history and physical, drew blood and gave out medication and assist the dentist with tooth extraction. In 1995 I became the HSA at the jail did the hiring and firing of the medical staff was in charge of keeping the jail staff for 24 hours daily. Work with the jail capitain who monitor the nursing service. Work closely with Public Health to get TB and HIV meds for the inmates that was in the jail.

Started working in January 2021 full time as a Wound Care Nurse. I measure wounds, did daily wound care dressing changes, maintain wound vac on the patient that had one. Telemed with the wound doctor. Took off orders and carried them out. Made monthly rounds with the facility doctor, and sometimes we did Telemedicine with the medical doctor. January 2022, I changed position to become RAC( Resident Assessment Coordinator) where I would interview the patient, staff members who worked with the patient and or their family members to see if the patient was going to be short stay or remain long term all done for reimbursement for the facility. On November 29,2024, I retired as a RN after working 41 years in the healthcare industry, and 36 of those years was a RN.
