- The scope of this project is to build an application called KPMETA to process, store and track Medicare Cost and Advantage encounter data reportable to CMS
- All input and output encounter data will be in the CCF (Claims Centric File) format defined by the EDI track
- Internal encounters and external claims will, if necessary, be converted to the CCF format before submission to KPMETA.KPMETA will store the encounters and batch them for release to CMS
- The CCF output batches will be verified by KPEG and transformed to 837i and 837p transactions for submission to CMS.CMS will return 277CA responses, and KPEG will transform these to the 277CA CCF format and send this to KPMETA.KPMETA will produce reports listing errors detected by KPEG and CMS and provide to the regions for correction, as well as a summary of the results of each batch that was processed
- CMS will also provide an Encounter Transactional report set (format and contents to be specified by CMS), part of which will provide additional error and status information to KPMETA
- KPMETA will be enabled to process unlinked chart reviews received from SDS in the 837 CCF format
- This encompasses processing, auditing and tracking the unlinked chart reviews, sending them to KPEG and CMS and processing the responses from the downstream systems via the 277 CCF and the MAO reports responses
- SDS is an application to capture and submit of all the missing diagnosis in MAEDS data submissions present in the RAPS data submissions using an unlinked chart review for all 8 regions of Kaiser.SDS will be performing error remediation for HICN and Demographic errors resulted in CMS and after error remediation process these encounters will be sent as claim adjustments to KPMETA.SDS will also be enhanced to have the capability of sending adjustments and deletes to KPMETA
