We assist insurance adjusters in obtaining copies of accident/incident reports to help settle insurance claims.

The team that I was on called on reports that were not releasable at the time due to being either still under investigation, with the courts, or not completed/turned in by the responding officer.

Daily duties included:

Calling police or sherif departments to update the adjuster to the status of the request either weekly or bi weekly as the situation called for. Then updating the request in the tracking system we used. Work was assigned thru the tracking program of calls for the day(30-40 average) and thru incoming mail stating that the report requested was not ready or not releasable at the time(approximately 100-125 per day average)

Additionally we were responsible for sending additional paperwork with requests that required a signed release from the insured. The team had a weekly schedule of receiving releases the day before and submitting new requests, the requests would print out. The next day the request and release would be matched. The remaining requests would be terminated with prearranged MACROS with specific notes to the adjuster.


Warehouse Worker

I was originally part of a team that compiled orders in the warehouse that workers would come and pick upa will-call desk. I would be responsible for having the order pulled and ready for the employee to pick up. Once in hand I processed payment and closed the order out. Additionally, I would call to remind customers of older orders to pick up. This role lasted for about 3 years (approximately)

I was moved to shipping and receiving where I was responsible for receiving shipments from the main warehouse and the courier items received from other stores (2 shipments per day) adjusting inventory as needed. I was also responsible for compiling our own customer direct shipments and transfers to other stores using UPS shipping.

Additionally was responsible coordinating the return of and getting credit back for damaged or defective merchandise.

This position ended September 2007
