During reorganization, I moved to the Student Activities Office while keeping many of the job duties for the VPSA office including back-up the Chief Budget Officer/UBM SR.
Oversee and manage the business functions for the Department of Student Activities and the Student Government Association. Develop budget, manage positions, analyze revenue projections and advise director. Manage and approve expenditures against the budget including payroll, procurement, disbursements, and travel. Process scholarship awards. Maintain expenditures and financial records. Insure proper cash handling, procurement and accounts receivable and payable practices for the area. Prepare budget change orders, budget revision requests, budget transfers and payroll expense transfers. Ensure departmental records and files are maintained.
Oversee and manage Human Resource functions for Student Activities and the Student Government Association, including processing payroll, establishing and revising positions, hire, terminate, evaluate staff. Serve as department liaison to Human Resources, Employment, Benefits, Payroll, Position Management and Workman's Compensation.
Process travel and insure compliance with university policy. Manage all aspects of the SGA Graduate Student Travel Fund and serve as liaison to Dean of SIGS. Process student travel requests through SGA appropriations. Assist staff with all aspects of travel arrangements and travel reimbursement.
