CLASSROOM SKILLS RELATING TO CAPS OUTREACH

• supported progressive instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing session and synchronous instruction
• served as a peer mentor to new teachers
• served as a Professional Learning Community facilitator for the 8th Grade Science Team
• organized and oversaw multiple school trips and clubs
• devised and used formative and summative assessment, maintained accurate and complete records as required by laws, polices and regulations

Sumner County 8th grade Career Project

Led 8th graders through a career assessment, choosing a career, working backwards to choose academic class for HS, college and after if needed

Technical training, certificates, college and post college were all explored

Set up a career fair introducing students to how a day in the career would look like 

Study Skills Class

 took students "where they are" and helped them moved forward by developing a time budget, which subjects/skills to focus on and HOW they needed to get the help needed

Science Classes

set mathematical goals based on previous year's results and helped students develop the steps to achieve those goals

Care Team

led groups of students based on anxiety, organization, social skills or tutoring and developed a plan for them and monitored them through each step
