While coaching at Coquille High School my teams had many achievements. We won multiple League Championships. Plus, we went to State 8 times placing, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th.
While coaching at the JR High we won several tournaments, including the Marshfield Tournament and the Elks Club tournament.
However, for me the best accomplishment is teaching the players the sport of of volleyball and all its life’s lessons.
I coached the Varsity Volleyball team, from 2015-2021, however I also was the varsity team from 1996-2005. Plus, in between the varsity jobs, I also coached the 8th grade team for 5years. Through those years I won many league championships and participated at State seven times bringing trophies back to the school.
Along with coaching the varsity team I supervised the JR Varsity and JV2 teams. The job required picking teams to give the school the best chance to succeed in league and at State.
Each day was planned to make sure we had success. My coaching philosophy is to coach each player in strong fundamentals so when they enter a game they have the confidence to play their best. Each practice session is carefully planned to achieve this goal.
Team building is also a priority. Each player is encouraged to be the best player and best teammates to accomplish our goals.
I have developed these coaching skills through practice, studying, and experience. I have over 30 years of coaching experience.
