Lead the provision of all major related services to school-aged and pre-school students in NYC.

Provide instructional and therapeutic leadership for all such related services and will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of policies, practices, and procedures to ensure that such services are instructionally and clinically appropriate and effective.

a facilitator of collaboration and cross-functional work between offices. This will include the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures to support the mission of the school system, and achievement of associated DOE and Special Education Office goals and objectives to promote the efficiency and effectiveness within the context of Related Services

Leads the development and implementation of innovative, research based citywide policies, best practices, and instructional/clinical models for the recommendation and

provision of appropriate related services.

Responsible for the management of all related services labor relations, including monthly UFT/CSA consultations, and escalations, and liaises with DOE Office of Labor Relations (OLR) as indicated.

• Develop policy, guidelines, procedures and best-practice directive in direct oversight of citywide Occupational, Physical, Speech Therapy and Assistive Technology services
• Develop and present professional learning opportunities for all related services staff
• Directly supervise OT, PT, AT, SP and Paraprofessional Services Program Directors
• Direct compliance initiatives in support of ensuring all mandated students receive mandated related services in a timely manner
• Implement all Special Education Office initiatives with fidelity
• Collaborate with D75, FSCs, CSEs, DoE offices and all external stakeholders on matters pertaining to citywide related services
• Oversight of non-DoE providers’ service provision to NYC students
• Direct management and implementation of citywide summer OT/PT/SP/AT services
• Collaboration with parents and stakeholders and develop family engagement activities
• Manage all UFT/Labor relation work streams pertaining to OT/PT/SP providers
• Recruitment and hiring management including partnership with Universities, professional organizations and related DoE offices
• Implementation and supervision of DoE Medicaid claiming and reimbursement initiative for OT/PT/SP services
• Provide clinical supervision to all related service Directors, Managers and Supervisors pertaining to students grades Prek-12

• Responsible for all Central DOE Based Occupational Therapy Program Functions
• Develop policies, guidelines and procedures for Occupational Therapy service delivery and implementation
• Interpret data to develop appropriate staff patterns/hiring and resource allocation
• Provide clinical consultation to field based Occupational Therapy Supervisors
• Liaison with CFN, CSE and D75 Special Education Management Teams
• Coordinate staff development for DOE Occupational Therapists across all boroughs
• Directly supervise (3) OT Program Managers in providing quality assurance program measures
• Develop and implement OT Practice Guide across all boroughs / DOE organizations
• Facilitate integration of NYS Common Core Standards into OT service provision
• Oversight and coordination with contracted agencies/non-DOE providers related to the provision of OT services to NYC students
• Cross-discipline collaboration with Directors of Speech, Physical Therapy and Instructional partners toward uniformed integration of related services.
