Design and Analysis of Aircraft Engine Cooling Fan (08/2023 - 06/2024)
An internal combustion engine generates power by burning fuel within cylinders, making it a heat engine. Managing safe operating temperatures is crucial; 30-35% of combustion heat is dissipated by the cooling system, and 40- 45% exits with exhaust gases.
This project involves designing and structurally analyzing an engine cooling fan using Finite Element Method (FEM). The design was developed with Creo and analyzed with Ansys Workbench to determine maximum strength and stress values for different materials through static and dynamic analysis.
