200HR YTTC from Rishikesh Yoga Nirvana
I've dedicated several years to practicing Yoga, and what makes it truly enriching is that it's an ongoing experience. There's no ultimate goal or competition involved. Engaging in Yoga and uncovering various aspects of yourself through consistent practice is an ongoing journey. If you're interested in personal growth, I strongly recommend embracing the Yoga mat.
It has instructed me in the art of proper breathing: While the importance of breathing may seem evident, it's surprising how frequently we don't breathe correctly, leading to adverse effects. Yoga has imparted the wisdom of deeper, slower, and more rhythmically correct breathing.
It rekindled my interest in exercise: I was put off exercise completely when I got anxiety, unfortunately. I was terrified of getting hot and sweaty and passing out. You name it, I was scared of it happening! But yoga eased me back into light exercise which I am so grateful for.
It heightened my body awareness: Yoga brought to light the areas of my body that required attention in terms of flexibility and pinpointed which areas were tighter and more uncomfortable in specific positions. It encourages a deeper connection with oneself, and the sensation is truly remarkable.
Yoga challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone and confront my own limitations, both physical and mental. Through daily yoga practice, meditation, and self-reflection, I was able to develop a deeper understanding of myself and my relationship with the world around me.
