Enthusiastic teacher who has earned trust and respect from students, colleagues and administration for 13 years. However, I have been in this profession all my life. I have taught a variety of grade levels throughout my career. I taught 6th grade ELA, 5th grade, 3rd grade, and 1st grade. I loved them all. I also had the opportunity to coach girls softball and basketball for 2 of those years. This profession is definitely a calling and I enjoy every minute of it. I also can speak a little Spanish and Sign Language.
I taught 5th grade at Selma Street in 2011-2012.
I taught 3rd grade Reading in 2012-2013 and 1st grade in 2013-2014. I was also a high school coach for the girls' basketball and softball teams.
I taught 5th and 6th grade Science at G.W. Long in 2014-2015.
I taught 6th grade ELA at Girard Middle School from 2015-2019. I was then placed at Morris Slingluff in 6th grade from 2019 to 2021.
I left Dothan City and moved to Houston County, where I taught at Webb Elementary School as the 4th-grade math teacher. I also taught at Wicksburg Elementary School as a 3rd-grade teacher from 2022-2024.
I can now proudly say that God called me back to Dothan City, where I am currently teaching 5th grade at Heard Elementary School.
