I got the opportunity to learn the basics of every department: meat market, seafood, bakery, deli, produce, floral, general merchandise, beauty, and grocery. I learned how to stock items properly using FIFO, and I got the opportunity to get forklift certified. I developed a better understanding of how to communicate with the managers of the store.

I worked in the front of the store and learned how to keep my space organized and was able to thoroughly explain and answer any questions about the bakery to customers.
I gained confidence in answering the phones, taking orders, and setting up deliveries. I then worked in the back as a froster, where I improved my skill of paying attention to detail by comprehending every order.
Working at that corporation in retail meant learning the ins and outs of multiple stores, learning how to communicate professionally with my peers, and educating myself on the different cleaning procedures needed for each location.
Some important accomplishments I achieved were learning how to handle money and give correct change, along with the correct way to talk to guests and the best ways to interact with large groups of people.
