Committed and collaborative coordinator and activity specialist, successful at managing department priorities with a positive attitude while enhancing volunteer/staff participation with passionate development of program planning.
While I am open to all possibilities of employment, I am hopeful to move into a future position that aligns with my passion for community engagement and program coordination, however I am happy to contribute to an assistant role and learn new experiences. In fact, I would love to be considered for any other part-time or internships where I can demonstrate my abilities in order to see if we are a good match. My experience at the Austin Animal Center has allowed me to develop skills in training and managing volunteers and staff, designing activities and encouraging youth leadership. I am eager to bring these skills to enhance community programming that inspires others.
If possible, I am eager to immerse myself again in the responsibilities of community building. Being in this kind of role resonates with my deep commitment to educating the community and I'd love to help participate in contributing to the values held by Parks and Recreation.
In my most recent role as the Enrichment Team Volunteer Coordinator for Austin Animal Center, I had the privilege of teaching a diverse group of volunteers including large youth groups and coordinating corporate volunteer efforts, especially through workshops I personally designed in alignment with the shelter's directives.
I have coordinated numerous corporate volunteer groups and developed creative enrichment activities for individuals of all abilities allowing the shelter to provide accessibility to all of the community, honing my volunteer management skills and highlighting the importance of inclusivity.
To me, building partnerships and engaging the community is more than just work; it's a way to connect the city with the community and inspire creativity. I find immense joy in collaborating to create impactful experiences while serving the city.
