Dynamic and visionary leader with over 23 years of experience in animal welfare, driving lifesaving initiatives through barrier reduction, strategic development, and innovation, significantly reducing euthanasia rates in shelters across the U.S.
As CEO of The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, I leverage my lived experience as a diverse leader to challenge systemic inequities and create inclusive environments where the intrinsic connection between human welfare and animal welfare is recognized and celebrated. By fostering high-performing teams and cultivating organic collaboration, I inspire innovation and lead strategic efforts that enhance the human-animal bond, empower communities, and ensure pets and people thrive together.

Prior to this program most parvo cases were housed at an area vet and/or euthanized.
My greatest accomplishment while holding this position was leading, in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, the first Lawrence Humane
Society- Clear The Shelter Adoption Event where more than 300 animals were adopted during 3 days.
My greatest accomplishment while holding this position was being deployed as an ASPCA First Responder for a tree-state, dog fighting ring bust and working in the emergency response unit as a part of the vet team providing medical care for more than 200 animals.
