• Developed a predictive model using Python to forecast the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) award based on player performance metrics and historical data.
• Utilized statistical methods to project points, assists, rebounds, and Player Efficiency Rating (PER) per 36 minutes for each player.
• Cleaned and analyzed datasets from Basketball Reference, merging advanced player statistics from multiple seasons.
• Created functions to predict player statistics and combined projections to calculate MVP point values.
• The model's MVP predictions aligned with industry betting odds, identifying Nikola Jokić as the most likely MVP recipient.
