I started as a nurse intern in the Johnson City Medical Center Emergency Department. When I graduated, I started in the ICU, and I have been there a little over two years now. I am now CRRT certified along with keeping up to date my CPR/ACLS. I have participated in bedside EVDs, ex-laps, and multiple procedures, such as the placement of central and arterial lines. I have had critically ill patients on vasopressors, and helped families navigate through difficult times, whether that includes clarifying the situation, TDS, or comfort care. I keep up with my skill set by placing Foley catheters, IV catheters, NG/OG tubes. I am very hardworking and will strive to be the best nurse for my patient. Whether it is a hand to hold, a voice of comfort, or assisting in placing lines and administering medications to keep them alive. I work well under pressure and collaborate well with multiple other interdisciplinary teams.
