Work History
RESEARCH ASSISTANT
ICMR - NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CHOLERA AND ENTERIC DISEASE
Kolkata
03.2024 - 06.2025
As a Research Assistant, I was actively involved in laboratory-based virology research, including processing clinical samples, supporting antigenic and serological assays, maintaining detailed experimental records, and assisting in data organization and preliminary analysis.
I also contributed to literature review and coordination with the research team, strengthening my understanding of dengue virus epidemiology, antigenic evolution, and translational public health research.
I contributed in dengue virus detection and confirmation using RT-PCR, including RNA extraction from clinical samples, preparation of reaction mixes, handling of controls, and documentation of amplification results.
I assisted in data organization and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reproducibility of molecular findings.
Through this work, I gained practical experience in vaccine trial workflows, molecular virology techniques, and clinical research data management, strengthening my foundation for advanced research in infectious diseases.
DISSERTATION TRAINEE
ICMR - NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CHOLERA AND ENTERIC DISEASE
Kolkata
02.2023 - 08.2023
I was involved in working with clinical samples primarily and isolating specific disease-causing organisms.
Furthermore, my work was based on finding the effectivity of a polyphenolic compound as a therapeutic drug from green tea extract and observing its mode of action on the isolated strains of Vibrio sp. and Shigella sp.
