Manages the staff and controls the daily activities of the Facilities Department assuring that our rooms, Public Areas and Employee Areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness. Responsible for handling requests and issues in a timely manner. Conduct Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed. Works directly with staffing agencies to ensure proper staffing levels. Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, and coach all employees in the Facilities Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met. Assures financial, safety, and operational goals of the Hospital are met. Responsible for the LifeSafety compliance for 5 hospitals, and overall PMs of major various equipment, including negotiating contracts with 3rd party vendors. Hires, trains, and coaches’ associates. Documents and issues disciplinary action as needed, up to and including termination. Assigns and distributes work accordingly, setting department goals, objectives and standards.

As Director of Building Operation I manage the Hotel Engineering Department, including all related activities including participation in executive committee meetings; hire and maintain an effective work force appropriate for an upscale Hotel'; establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs for all equipment, systems, guestrooms and public areas/ general maintenance; participate in effective safety programs; coordinate and implement capital improvement projects; establish, maintain and manage department budgets and monthly forecasts for the Hotels divisions; Protect Hotel and the Owner from losses, claims, and liabilities. Responsible for all aspects of the Engineering Department to include but not limited to, maintaining the facilities, equipment, furniture, fixtures, systems and landscaping at the highest quality standards. The Director of Building Operation oversee the physical condition of the property, the management of outside contracts and the functions of the engineering department in managing the work flow (repairs, maintenance, mechanical, FF&E, Life Safety Systems), of the preventive and corrective maintenance systems. Responsible for the development, implementation and training schedule of extensive Engineering and Security Departmental Manuals to include but not limited to Policies and Procedures, equipment locations and operations, Guest Request and House Request Program, Life Safety, location of shut-off valves, isolation valves and utilities mains. Provide leadership, mentoring, training, career development and annual evaluations for all Associates within the Division.
Also as director of building Operation I oversee the Housekeeping department , Im responsible for ensuring the operation of the Housekeeping Department in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with quality service and a clean and safe environment throughout their stay, while efficiently managing expenses and maximizing service levels.
