Working in educational settings have provided me with a well-rounded understanding of diversity among individuals, family systems, trauma history, and behavioral challenges as well as working with various populations and parents. My experience in Marketing has allowed me to be fluid in my skills using different technological platforms such as adobe applications, microsoft applications, and google based applications.
Additionally, my personal lived experiences in the mental health, addiction, and recovery fields, allow for me to have a greater understanding of cultural differences, the process of recovery, skills, interventions, and capability to truly empathize and understand clients/patients.
Along with this, my educational history through attaining my Bachelor's in Psychological Science, with a minor in Sociology, further influences my professional goals and aspirations. As an incredibly career driven individual, my work is where my heart is.
I successfully completed a year long internship from 2019-2020 working under the Director of Pupil Services in the Avon Public Schools district in Avon, CT where I gained a large scope and insight into psychological and achievement testing protocols/procedures, along with the specific structure, process and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans. Involvement in district meetings was fundamental in my understanding of special education and its many qualifications.
During this internship I was a presenter for the district's professional development in November, where I presented on social-emotional learning for roughly one hundred teachers and professionals throughout the district.
Additionally, I have recently obtained my certificate as a Certified Recovery Support Specialist as of March 2025 through the Recovery Leadership Academy at the Institute of Living in Hartford, CT.
