Serve as a detective in our COV – Homicide Unit. In this role, I managed a complex caseload that required a high level of attention-to-detail. I investigated cases up to and including murders where I managed liability, personnel, scheduling, and multi-agency operations. Within this unit, I was the Hate Crimes Liaison where I was responsible for investigating all Hate Crimes for the city of Cula Vista. I created greater cooperation among patrol and investigative units as I taught them to employ the complex investigative tactics commonly utilized in homicide investigations.

Field Training Officer – Teach and mentor new officers as they move through the field training process. I continue to serve as a resource to new officers once they complete their training.
