As a recent college graduate with a passion for teaching music, I am eager to pursue my dream of becoming a band director. With my undeniable talent for playing multiple instruments and my extensive knowledge of music education, I am confident that I possess the skills necessary to excel in this field. I am also highly skilled at communicating with various industry professionals and have honed the art of self-critique, ensuring each piece is polished to perfection. I am excited to bring my unique blend of talent, expertise, and passion to the role of a band director and make a meaningful impact in the lives of young musicians.

• In addition besides teaching percussion, I am a highly skilled and experienced drummer and guitarist. I have had the privilege of performing at various gigs and events in the San Antonio area, where I have had the opportunity to expand my network and showcase my talents. Of all the gigs I have played, some of the most memorable ones were when I had the honor of sharing the stage with world-renowned musicians such as Brian McKnight and Kim Burrell. Their award-winning musical talent inspired me, and playing alongside them was a truly unforgettable experience.

• I am a product of Northside Independent School District. My music journey started in sixth grade, and I continued to learn music and percussion through NISD schools. My hard work paid off with multiple awards. I ranked top five in TMEA All Region Bands and Orchestras since seventh grade as a percussionist. I placed in the top 10 in TMEA Area Jazz for three years as a jazz drum set player in high school. I secured 3rd place as a TMEA All-State Percussionist in 2019, concluding my high school experience.

I hold an official TEXES educator certificate, which I earned by successfully passing the 177 Music EC-12 and Pedagogy and Responsibilities exams. During my academic tenure at UTSA, I also pursued several education certificates through the UTSA COEHD program. I am proud to hold certificates in Dyslexia, Texas Behavioral Support Initiative (TBSI), and Bullying Prevention.
