Perform critical tasks related to materials/slide room area of Pathology. Routine tasks include storing and archiving pathology materials, filling requests for internal materials and external providers and facilities, and communicating about material retention, storage, release protocols both with department members and other departments/facilities.
Provide top customer service when responding to the individual needs of patrons and staff. Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other areas of the museum as needed, such as special exhibitions. Generate sales of daily admissions tickets and museum memberships.
Conduct preservation of onsite materials, collect, tage, photograph, and log artifacts carefully and accurately. Follow appropriate archaeological storage techniques of artifacts, preserving for future study. Enter detailed information on artifacts employing standardized vocabulary to enable archiving and comparisons. Support discovery, identification, and evaluation of cultural artifacts at a variety of sites throughout Washington state.
