Hard working, dedicated worker looking to better career with current company. Experienced with highway maintenance and quick learner on the things that is required for the job.
I did all assigned duties required by my management team i.e asphalt work, concrete work, winter operations, tree and debris removal, equipment operations, pruning and brush removal, trash pick up, serving as crew member in charge, work zone set up, make sure everyone is working safely and coming in for on calls, entering time for EOT in HMMS. opening and closing work orders in HMMS. Working the snow room calling contractors to come in and entering time for push and stand by.
I did all jobs required of me by my management team contracted thru VDOT so i did the similar things there after i learned the process.
I started out as a process tech where I checked the boards coming down the line for defects and end tagging them with the correct labels. I worked in the shell area where we made the shell to make the boards. I also learned the process of running the machinery to make the board. After a few months I got a job in quality where i inspected the boards more thoroughly and we had to weigh them for proper weight and check them for correct color and pattern with machines. We also as quality techs had to measure the boards with gauges and inventory the boards at the end of each shift.
I started installing hardware in the cabinets, then moved to doors where I put the hinges in the doors with a machine and hung them. I then moved to the drawer box area where I made the drawer boxes, installed the rails to the boxes and then installed the drawer fronts to the boxes. As a utility u do different jobs on a daily basis it depends on what is needed for the day and u can possibly go to a different line or multiple lines throughout the day.
I worked everything on the line consisting of hanging, inspecting, bagging and packaging the chicken. I would be the fore person(lead) when the fore person was off. I was also the mixer where I combined ingredients for the mixes to inject the chicken for 4 lines.
I overlooked about 10 team members per crew making sure they were doing their job correctly and safely. I worked along with the crew waiting on customers and making their food. As managers we had to inventory all of the freezer and cooler items every night and enter them into the computer. I worked on payroll while i was there and did some of the ordering of the product for the week, which consist of figuring out what we had on hand and what we used and what we need and then entering it into the computer.
