During the clinical portion of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, I was fortunate enough to be placed at some amazing sites. At St. Lukes Health within the Houston Medical Center we focused on procedures such as, paracentesis, and thoracentesis. I was able to set up exams for the PA, scan the patient prior to the exam, and provide aftercare to the patient. Here at St. Lukes I also encountered many biopsies, and assisted with the set up of those exams as well.

At Memorial Hermann- Memorial City Inpatient I've seen a wide variety of exams along with a great deal of pathology. I am comfortable scanning independently within a reasonable time frame to prevent the orders from getting backed up. I've scanned all abdominal scans along with the dopplers, Pelvic/TV, 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester pregnancies, Appendix, Thyroid, Vascular exams, as well as assisted with D&C's within the OR. I have helped diagnose many pathologies within the department and, I am very thankful for the knowledge I have gained here.
