Women Empowerment Case Manager

  • Since December 2019 I am working in capacity of Women empowerment case manager with Jewish family services which is resettlement agency with more than a century of existence
  • During this almost 5 years I served almost 150 women with different case management which 13 of them are currently my client
  • I proudly can say that I help these clients and lots of other family among Afghan community here in Washington who are now trying their best to navigate to the system and build their future here as their new home.
  • Working with women through this position gives a bright picture of the issues and barriers which immigrant and refugees are struggling with.
  • Although I have not previous experience of federal and state benefit which are available for these people, but I learnt a lot from this program and get way familiar with the systems and organization culture here in Washington.
  • I am assisting them with: Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the U.S resettlement program and services available to women refugees, SIVs, asylees and those seeking asylum.
  • Work with women clients to create and implement a strengths-based individualized self-sufficiency plan to expedite stability and integration.
  • Provide comprehensive case management to include advocating for and coordinating access to benefits, medical care, education and employment services; conducting home visits; and facilitating community navigation and the creation of social support networks.
  • Deliver individual and group cultural orientation curriculum and assess participants' understanding of available resources and support systems.
  • Assess and record client progress towards set goals to ensure services increase the well-being and social integration of refugees and immigrants.
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely documentation for each case.
  • Collaborate across agency programs and develop relationships with other community organizations to ensure client and agency goals are met.

Regional Agriculture Development Program North was a 78 million dolor contract which were focusing on three specific value chain in Agriculture sector whiten 6 targeted provinces

An amount of 10 million dolor of this budget designed to be awarded to targeted beneficiaries including male and female through grants contract

These grants provided comprehensive result to present the importance of women role in Agriculture sector and delivered significant development in gaining new skills and access to new technology for both targeted audiences

I as a Grant and Subcontract Manager awarded this 10 million through 207 grant contracts

  • I was responsible to conduct pre and post award activities which were but not limit to support, oversee, administration, contract negotiation, providing guidance to grants team and grantees, oversee compliance, review budget and supporting staff and grantees for closeout process of the grants and subcontracts.
  • Improved office operations by automating client correspondence, record tracking and data communications.
  • Conducted risk assessments for prospective contracts, enabling informed decision-making by senior management.
  • Developed strong relationships with clients and vendors, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Completed bi-weekly payroll for 8 employees.
