The skills I’ve acquired at my position with NW Permanente have strengthened my confidence with public speaking and communication with doctors and upper management between departments.
My professional development is an ongoing process where I challenge myself to step outside my comfort to grow. Creating relationships with the providers I support as well as my colleagues and leadership, is the foundation for my success in my role. Within my organization, I’m active in volunteer communities including cultural groups, equity, inclusion & diversity, community engagement and working at Oregon food bank with my team. In my personal life I have volunteered to read grant applications for the Children’s Levy and attend community meetings where I freely express my views about the need for action/accountability.
