• AWS D17.1, GTAW-MA, GTAW-ME, GTAW-AU.
• Years of experience using mechanical and automatic welders, such as the Dabber Welder and the Robot Welder.
• Use dial indicators to adjust for runout when centering fixtures on to the rotary table.
• Use vernier calipers, outside and inside diameter micrometers, to verify weld sizes.
• Blend and/or bench parts to conform to part specifications.
• Using manual TIG welding for weld build-up and repair for various aircraft components. As well as for fabrication on various projects.
• Avoided warping, shrinkage, and distortion by carefully controlling welding processes.
• Bolted, clamped and tack-welded parts to secure components prior to welding.
• Inspected welds for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Inspected pieces for defects, measured, and checked with straightedges or templates for compliance with specifications.
• Cleaned material surfaces to remove dirt or excess acid using chemical solutions, wire brushes and grinders.
• Conducted rigorous post-weld inspections to guarantee structural integrity of each piece.

• Responsible for the proper installation and maintenance of fire alarm safety systems, as well as waterflow, sprinklers and tamper switches
