Provide strategic leadership for the organization’s Arts Education Department, guiding vision, program design, implementation, partnerships, and evaluation for arts-based programming across multiple NYC public schools and community sites.

• Lead development and implementation of high-quality, equity-centered arts education programming serving historically marginalized students across NYC with a staff of 3.
• Build and sustain deep, trust-based partnerships with teaching artists, school leaders, cultural institutions, and community organizations
• Design and oversee assessment frameworks to document impact while minimizing burden on schools and partners
• Support capacity building of artists and partner organizations through coaching, professional development, and resource sharing
• Oversee implementation evaluation and reporting on multiyear Federal Arts Education Assessment Grant
• Collaborate on funding strategy, reporting, and cross-departmental planning to strengthen sustainability and impact
• Integrate anti-racist, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed practices across programs and staff development
• Represent organization in arts education networks, collaboratives, and sector-wide initiatives

• Independent consulting working to bring over two decades of educational, arts and youth development expertise to organizations looking to offer high quality supportive and youth friendly educational experiences that bridge the gaps between school, family, and community.
• Clients include Red Hook Arts Project, NYC Office of Community Schools, National Center for Community Schools, Epiphany Blue, L&G Research and Evaluation.
• Scope of work includes facilitation and research within Gates foundation funded youth serving community of practice, program evaluation and reporting, assessment design, qualitative data strategy and collection, arts focused trauma informed training for adults, facilitation, strategic planning and program design, board development.

• Implement needs-driven programs and services aligned with the community school model, inclusive of comprehensive arts programs, expanded learning opportunities, health services, parent/family engagement, adult education, direct material assistance, and interventions targeted to chronically absent students.
• Serve as an advisor to the principal, providing leadership for coordinating the work of different partners within the school, aligning the work of partners with the school faculty, ensuring quality partnerships, and assuring alignment with school vision, curriculum and learning goals.
• Organize school and family engagement events.
• Provide training and technical assistance to ensure trauma informed environment and cultural and linguistic appropriateness of services, programs, and communication efforts.
• Member of school leadership team and instructional cabinet.
• Organize and oversee assets and needs assessments on an ongoing basis.

• Lead on instructional coaching to support teachers and out of school time educators in implementing EVC educational philosophy of practice and Youth Powered Video curriculum via seminars, summer institute and coaching sessions.
• Planning, modeling, observing, team-teaching, and debriefing lessons to provide resources and suggestions to improve practices.
• Gather evidence of student work to support teachers in reflecting on progress toward professional development and program goals.
• Facilitate assessment of teacher practice and student learning.

• Manage cultural arts residency programs and digital arts learning initiatives in New York City Schools.
• Design and manage summer camp programming.
• Supervise and train teaching artists.
• Develop and deliver arts integration professional development for teachers and teaching artists.
• Manage research and evaluation as lead on research team including data collection, interviews, documentation, and dissemination.
• Lead teacher inquiry and assessment group to involve classroom teachers in designing metrics and evaluating work in their classrooms.
• Write and research grants.
• Manage project blogs and web development.
• Develop and oversee junior board.

• Design and teach arts based therapeutic youth development curriculum for girls ages 11-16 using documentary film, poetry and writing, and group counseling strategies.

• Write and teach quarterly performing arts and literacy youth development curriculum for girls age 11-16. Encourage writing and discussion. Supervise and assist in creation of original performance piece. Direct and produce performance. Supervise and direct teen staff.

• Administrator of after school arts program for 1st-5th grades. Write and implement social justice curriculum. Responsible for supervision and development of professional and teen staff and program assessment. Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior, create and facilitate parent development workshops.
