  • Liaise with drivers for E.T.A.'s. Plan their loads to/from Johannesburg. Handle the break-downs in terms of arranging mechanics for the right job.
  • Organize oil, petrol accounts, and tyres and to ensure licenses were in order and road worthy certificates all the time.
  • Had to ensure that the drivers had proper rest periods and drove the vehicles in orderly fashion.
  • Had to arrange for drivers to go on courses to improve their skills. Attended meetings at the Bargaining Council for the Road Freight Industry.

  • I was responsible for all the Zim-Star Customers; ensure that they would make bookings with our Vessels on both Import and Export basis.
