  • Monitor, receive, track, interpret and analyze Prosthetic consults and prescriptions for items, services, DME and orthotic devices received from physicians/clinicians to justify issuance of a purchase order using a government issued credit card.
  • Confer with physicians, clinicians, as needed.
  • Request and analyze quotes from vendors.
  • Complete procurements independently, prepare/authorize purchase orders.
  • Identify and ensure national CMS/Health Care Procedural Coding System(HCPCS) codes are entered for every item purchased to ensure proper reporting.
  • Obtain necessary procurement information to submit Acquisition plans and procurement packages to the Network Contracting office for items over 10k through FORCE system.
  • Maintain invoices for proper and timely reconciliation.
  • Monitor and analyze PSAS compliance, delayed order reports, aged credit card transactions, compliance metrics and scorecards.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with awarded vendors and suppliers, ensuring open communication.
  • Review and manage open purchase orders for timely commitment and document status updates on the consult.
  • Ensure that all purchases comply with policies and are fully compliant with business practice guidelines, procedures, regulations, laws and government contracts.
  • Ongoing maintenance of Talent Management System certification(s).
  • Respond to Congressional inquires, veteran concerns.
  • Interact with Veterans, caregivers, and clinical staff by answering questions related to benefit programs, provision of prosthetic items, home care equipment, and discharge planning requirements.
