As a lead sterile processing tech I run the sterile processing unit with my assistant. I open and close the unit, pull all case carts for the next day surgery's, I assumable all instruments cases such as the ortho trays, ENT trays, rectal trays, cataract trays. I clean and sterilize all the trays, wrap and package all instruments. I also work as a surgical tech assistant helping with room set up, preparing patients surgery's, such as washing and disaffecting patients incision site, patients transfer, moving patient to recovery and cleaning surgical room after procedure.
