Job Description:

Assists in the implementation of consumer care and administer medication to consumers according to established protocols.

• Psychiatric nurse is responsible for assessing, provide therapeutic communication, interventions and deliver collaborative individualized patient-centered care for consumers with mental health illness and substance abuse
• Administered medication and treatments to patients to observe and record responses
• Coordinated with medical and paramedical professionals to provide appropriate input and effectively formulate and implement treatment plans for patients
• Monitored vital signs, nutritional intake and signs and symptoms of complications to report deviations to supervisor
