I am a newly licensed RN with a BSN from the University of Arkansas. I have practiced nursing for 28 years as an LPN. My career began with two years in a geriatric rehab facility and then moved into dialysis. I provide hands-on care and adjust that care to meet the needs of each patient on a personal basis. I returned to school so that I would be able to pursue career options not available as an LPN. During my academic journey at UARK I was a preceptee with RNs in various areas of nursing. During each practicum, I was able to provide direct care and learn from RNs who worked in those positions for 2yrs or more. I learned quickly and have picked up skills to help me transition in my nursing journey from LPN to RN BSN. I am confident I will make a wonderful addition to any healthcare team.
