Child Psychotherapist
- Conduct intake and provide initial trauma-informed psychosocial assessments. Develop treatment plans directed by a client-centered approach and safety-focused interventions for adult and youth clients.
- Makes use of language and play to observe, assess, help and treat children and young people who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, social and psychological difficulties
- Provide individual and family therapy relative to psychological problems, anxiety and depression via teletherapy
- Maintained detailed documentation of clinical assessments, interventions, and progress notes for accurate record-keeping purposes on EMR.
- Conduct psycho-educational evaluations of school-aged children identified or suspected of having learning or behavioral disabilities.
- Provided parent training and support, enhancing their understanding of their child''s needs and promoting positive family dynamics.
- Referral of clients to other specialists, institutions or support services as necessary.
