• Facilitates and instructs prenatal breastfeeding/chest-feeding class and health education classes for community and members of public.

Coordinator for Perinatal Loss and Perinatal Palliative Care provides oversight and coordination of evidence based practices that ensure an extraordinary patient experience even in the midst of loss and grief. Through mentoring, education and hands on delivery of care, ensures that staff have the skills and education they need to provide the highest quality of compassionate, competent care.

• Participate in delivering and arranging for appropriate bereavement care to patients and their families who experience a miscarriage, still birth or neonatal loss.
• Support an interdisciplinary approach to bereavement care
• Provide leadership of both Perinatal Palliative Care and Bereavement Teams. Mentor new staff with hands on care of a perinatal loss.
• Coordinate and be present at initial intake conference with family. Work with family to create birth plan. Coordinate resources for family to meet birth plan wishes. Provide accessibility to families through pregnancy. When possible, provide supportive care during hospitalization. Follow-up care including attendance at memorial/funeral if possible.
