Work History

OWNER – CREATED BY TAMMIE

TAMMIE WEBB EVENTS & CATERING
05.2005 - Current
  • Directed a vast variety of community events for local businesses and non-profit organizations. Primary duties varied from event coordination and fundraising to donor solicitation and board development. Creating new events and working with clients on established events. I have coordinated events from Stockton’s first “Ultimate Chef Challenge”, Hometown Hero’s Astronaut breakfast, weddings, market events, and everything in between. Working with hundreds of volunteers, vendors, advisors and board of directors and local community organization.
  • I brought a new event to Stanislaus County, Lemonade Day, that required me to create budgets, keep finance reports, develop community partnerships with key stakeholders, volunteers, and businesses throughout the city. Working with youth in all areas of the county to help them build character, self-esteem and teach life skills. I lead all the community forums, did all the speaking engagements, and built an entire event that lasted almost 4 years. Pairing up students with businesses was a huge part of this event so that they could learn directly from the businesses.
  • Events: Playhouse Jamboree, Ultimate Chef Challenge, “Celebrity Chef” with Asparagus Festival and Riverbank Wine & Cheese Festival, UCP Kids Cooking Classes, Lemonade Day, Beard 100th Luncheon, General Mills Holiday Parties, Weddings, Owned and Operated a Café and Sweet Shop, Hurricane Katrina Relief.
  • During 2013 to 2019 my business was contracted with Camp Harmon to be the User Group wedding and elopement coordinator. Those consisted of private weddings/elopements, LARPERS, Veteran Groups and local youth organizations like 4H, Americorp, and Vacation Bible School programs. I had youth volunteers for each event and program that I worked on. Youth were hired to learn customer service, facilities, life skills and team work.

Typical age of the Kitchen Assistant was between 15 and 18 gave me the opportunity to bring youth development into the kitchen. Teaching them not only how to prep and cook food, but how to engage with the counselors and kids. Teaching them customer service, patience and interaction were key components. Special events were held often and being able to work with groups with set up, décor and execution of their event was very rewarding.
  • Supervised kitchen operations, ensuring high food safety and sanitation standards.
