- Very high-volume dealer. My average customer load was 30 per day plus walk in oil changes and carry overs. I lead and dispatched and organized shop flow of a group of 10 technicians following work progress throughout the day. During the day you also had sales people that needed you to get used and new car through the shop the needed to be dispatched into the mix.
- Great customers, answer phones, create a service work order based on customer needs. Run VIN number for recalls and verify if any extended warranty or service contracts exist. After vehicle is diagnosed and inspected speak with technician to determine repairs needed. Gather parts information on parts needed, prices and availability as well as looking up book time customer pay and warranty. Work up and estimate contact customer and sell needed repairs. Expedite work to be performed to meet customer expectations. Prepare and bill out customer invoice including coding warranty. Perform active delivery by speaking to customer by phone and again in person when vehicle is picked up. Reviewing work performed, explaining repairs performed and charges. Make next appointment and walk customer to cashier. I came in early to open, collect night drops, check to see which service advisors they belonged to. Made coffee and set up service department to be ready to open.
