  • Support the owner/head chef with various administrative tasks, including communication with vendors and clients, managing house accounts, and other assigned tasks.
  • Manage updates to www.piccolaitalianj.com website, especially the Upcoming Events section.
  • Create and manage email blasts (via Constant Contact) to our subscription lists.
  • Create and manage advertising content to be placed online.
  • Interact with customers to contract, plan, and execute parties within Piccola Italia, and externally at private locations. This includes working with the client and chef to determine costs and menus, contract management, and follow-up, post-event. (I created a project management sheet so the owner and I are always aware of current projects and the stage of meeting planning we are at with each one.)

School Street School Experience

Boonton Board of Education
Boonton
09.2022 - Current

Recess Aide:

  • Supervising students during lunch and recess. (Kindergarten and first-grade mainstream and co-taught classes, 18–22 students per class.)
  • (Outdoor Recess) Partner with the principal and gym teacher to determine appropriate recess options for outdoor play. Daily setup and cleanup of those options. Meet with teachers and students as they enter the recess area to collect headcount in the case of a fire drill, so that all students are accounted for, and to provide any direction to the classes entering the play areas.
  • (Indoor Recess) Collected appropriate toys from the PTA and our community so that each grade level has access to recess items. Setup and cleanup of those options as well as reorganizing them so children enjoy recess during long periods of indoor recess. Created documentation so substitutes could easily set up for recess if I am absent.

Lunch Aide:

  • Ensuring smooth lunchroom service by establishing specific rules for our tables: one foot on the floor at all times, tummy to table, and snack time and/or lunch cleanup begins at 12:50 p.m., with students remaining seated until that time.
  • Assisting students with their lunchtime routines, helping them open milks, peel oranges, butter bagels, etc.

Substitute Teacher, Pre-K - eighth grade.

  • Work one-on-one with students requiring additional support, as well as being the lead classroom teacher. (Lower grades require teaching curriculum, and upper grades require managing the students' behavior and tasks provided via Google Classroom by their teacher.) Sub-teaching experience includes gym, art, music, and library specials.
  • Assist administrative staff during state testing. Monitor hallways and assist teachers with needs during testing hours.

Assistant to the Co-Founder / Managing Director

Profit First Professionals, LLC
Boonton
09.2019 - 06.2020
  • Manage the Managing Director’s professional and personal calendars.
  • Schedule global and domestic (Zoom) calls between the Managing Director and applicants hoping to become Profit First Professionals.
  • Reconciliation of all credit cards and financial payouts used by Profit First to include the business expenses card, the daily use card, reimbursement to employees, petty cash, money for the daily "shout out" jar (employees can win it by receiving the most compliments per day on their work performance), and the Gifts for Members account.
  • Work with the company’s bookkeeper and accounting firm regarding tax documents and to pay company invoices.
  • Completing government paperwork for new employees and adding them to our various systems – phone, client management system, Chrome, T-sheets, etc.
  • Review payroll reports for each non-salary employee, and help to fix any discrepancies. (We use T-Sheets, and it’s common for employees to forget to sign in or out.)
  • Help my boss manage the progress of the Cease and Assist situation (when non-PFPs are attempting to use Profit First materials as a sales tool or within their conferences).
  • If a member writes an industry-specific supplement to the original Profit First (such as Profit First for Micro gyms), I’ll face-to-face visit a targeted audience to give them the book, free of charge.
  • Organize the office so that employees can find the day-to-day and conference-specific items needed.
  • Redesigning our office space: I worked closely with a corporate interior designer to upgrade the Managing Director's office.
  • Personal projects for my boss's life outside of work include reserving tables at restaurants for him and his wife, helping to manage the various school-related items for his daughter, scheduling contractors for his multiple properties, etc.
  • Full-lifecycle planning and materials gathering for Profit First Live conferences, quarterly company teambuilding outings, and holiday and internal celebrations.
  • Help design and order Profit First swag for our conferences and membership kits.
  • Order gifts sent to members (for births, deaths, hospital stays, etc.).
  • Plan all meetings between our home-based office and the Managing Directors of our offices around the globe.
