I have found that my greatest purpose is in walking with individuals through tragic situations, end of life, and personal trama. I listen first and share as needed. To be present and affirm the feelings of someone grieving or someone who is afraid is a deeply humbling experience.

  • I did this through creating games and activities as much as possible so they would have experiential learning.
  • Provided Homebound Service for Angleton ISD student in their home who had recently given birth.
  • Went to students homes with work from their teachers at the high school and tutored them in order to help them not all too far behind while they were at home.

  • Collaborated with police detectives, child welfare organizations and district attorneys to resolve cases and protect juvenile individuals.

  • Developed a program to take into the schools in order to teach elementary age kids what the Juvenile Justice System is in order to deter them from getting involved with gangs.
  • Worked with victims of crime and their families in the juvenile and the adult system to help them navigate the court process and find counseling and financial resources.
  • Attended court hearings and trials with the victim/victim's family in order to provide support and information that they may need in order to face what is being done and said during a trial.
