I am a goal-oriented team player with a passion for learning. I have a keen eye for design and layouts. As a people person and critical thinker, I often find myself assisting others in finding the best solutions for various situations. I understand the importance of gathering appropriate details to meet needs effectively. Because of this, I believe I can quickly learn to be successful in new settings.
The majority of my professional career has been in the medical field. In 2003, a turn of events allowed me to become a stay-at-home parent and caretaker for my elderly grandparents. This experience led to the development of various skills and abilities. I have since volunteered at my children’s school as a PTO officer, holding numerous positions. I also serve at my local church in many different capacities.
My employment in the medical field has included working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have held clerical and administrative/management positions, with experience in outpatient coding, AR follow-up with both personal pay and insurance companies, billing, vital statistics, hospital statistics, etc. While my stint as a stay-at-home parent has been extended, I have not been idle. I operated a small home-based business until returning to the work field. This required skills such as organization, budgeting, marketing, product design and production, and supply management.
One of my most successful projects is an annual church fall festival, with an estimated average attendance of 500-600 people. For this event to be successful, I manage budget, logistics, advertising, concessions, registration, supplies, and problem-solving.
I returned to work in the summer of 2024. By fall, I maintained two part-time jobs: as a product stager at a local furniture/home goods market two days per week and as the Member Relations Manager at the Chamber of Commerce for the other three days.
