  • Fill in as branch manager, when acting branch manager is not available.
  • Maintain general knowledge of all bank products and services. Greet and serves bank customers in prompt and friendly manner both in person and over phone.
  • Perform duties of teller which include but are not limited to: cashing checks, processing deposit transactions, processing withdrawals, issuing cashier's checks and money orders, processing loan payments and processing coin fro customers according to bank policies and procedures. Processes night deposits and mail deposits/payments and business drop-off deposits according to bank polices and procedures. Redeem U.S. Savings Bonds when applicable. Preform all functions related to safe deposit boxes including opening, closing, maintenance, and allowing access. Balance vault, coin machine, and ATM.
  • Resolve customer transactions, which are not consistent with bank policy or outside of teller authority, through bank's procedures. Handle customer complaints. Counsels customers with special problems or in disagreement with policies and procedures.
  • Take part in community events as "face of the bank", including Kalona Chamber events, schools, and organizational groups.
  • Open and close all types of deposit accounts. Actively promote products and services and maintains general knowledge of all products and services offered. Identifies and pursues selling and cross-selling opportunities with bank customers and prospective customers and records sales as trained to do. Researches transactions for customers.
  • Work with Branch Manager to prepare performance reviews for all retail staff under my supervision.
  • Effectively organize and plan workflow to perform job functions in timely manner. Train new tellers and retail staff. Assist other staff in balancing daily transactions, verifying tickets, counting cash, and daily balancing of teller area. Help retail staff with complex work related matters.
  • Computer applications used include but not limited to Shazam Access, 4|Sight Check Research, Decision Pro, and Gift Card Websites.
  • Open and close bank while enforcing security policies and procedures. Provide continuous training and coaching for retail staff in promoting bank products and services. Supervise all cash vault operations and procedures, including buying and selling currency to Federal Reserve as needed.
  • Maintain all teller logs and forms and verify that they are completed and stored in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Maintain advanced knowledge and awareness of financial industry status and trends.
