As the temporary teacher at East Lake, I long-term subbed 5th grade from September until January. During this time, I created lesson plans, followed the district curriculum, upgraded gradebooks, completed report cards, and held parent-teacher conferences. Since January, I have been substitute teaching grades TK-6th regularly.

• Modified lessons and curriculum to accommodate diverse learners.

While working as East Lake's AIA, I worked closely with the principal, the counselor, staff, students, and their families. I assisted in classrooms and provided targeted small-group or one-on-one support to students struggling with reading, writing, or math. I helped teachers manage challenging behaviors, collected and logged student data, trained and scheduled employees, and helped with secretary duties.

I worked as a classroom para for grades K-7th, as well as worked in the after-school program, and ran a dance class after school.

• Oversaw students in the classroom and common areas to monitor, enforce rules, and support the lead teacher.
