• Aggregated real-time bus location data to estimate cycle lengths, signal phases, and delays during congested periods without relying on queue length data.
• Simulated approximate fixed-time signal phases in SUMO to enhance the accuracy of city-wide traffic simulations.

Transportation Design for Releasing I-5 Corridor Congestion 01/2023 - 06/2023

• Prepared a report detailing three alternative transportation designs and assessed their impact on Vehicle Miles Travel (VMT), safety, cost and life cycle assessment.
• Analyzed large data sets using Python and generated clear influence charts for each alternative.
• Created a visually clear drawing of alternatives by utilizing AutoCAD.
• Presented the final design in 2023 UC Davis design showcase.

Freight Delivery Optimization for Downtown San Francisco 01/2023 - 03/2023

• Developed a linear programming model to minimize delivery distances while meeting customer delivery time window.
• Clustered customers based on delivery windows and geographic locations to optimize delivery scheduling and route planning.
• Utilized Python to develop and simulate delivery routes, minimizing total travel distance.

Pavement Rehabilitation Design for Metro Air Park in Sacramento 01/2023 - 03/2023

• Designed the thickness of the aggregate base, subgrade, and concrete layer by estimating stiffness with EverFE and Openpave.
• Analyzed the design by Miner’s law calculation and life cycle assessment by calculating the repetitions and design life.
