Not only does the program provide enriching culinary activities, such as food preparation and cooking techniques, but it also plays a key role in growing sustainable and local produce in our community garden. Backpack Program, Feeding America San Diego, 08/01/20, 06/30/25, Alongside other group coordinators, I worked to distribute essential produce and canned goods to families within the local community of Solana Beach. Partnered with the Solana Beach Unified School District and the Boys & Girls Club, the organization established a system of food delivery and pickup for families facing food insecurity. Alongside my peers, I helped gather produce and other goods and outsourced these products directly to these families on a weekly basis.
