A strong dedication to be a first-generation firefighter. With 3.5 years of experience as a Fire Explorer for the City of Riverside, currently serving as a squad leader. Has a strong passion to lead by example and mentor peers. Volunteers often at fire stations all across riverside, Pridefully serving and gaining firsthand exposure to emergency response and public service. Motivated to continuing the path my father once started but was unable to complete due to injury.

Brings a blend of discipline, problem solving, teamwork, and grit to ultimately reach the goal of being a firefighter. Shaped through continuously working in a team environment for water polo, gained discipline and perseverance through EMT school, and valuable memories and patient care experiences through clinical care in sports medicine. Manages time well and Successfully, and was able to balance EMT school, sports medicine, a CPAT test, explorer training, and a college class all within a school semester during senior year. Committing to time management and personal growth.

Dedicated to advancing safety and making a change in the fire service. With an aimed focus to reducing carcinogen exposure and consistently following the departments SOP to ensure a long, healthy, and impactful life of service.

  • Volunteers time at local fire stations in exchange for invaluable hands-on experience, assisting with daily maintenance and operations, participating in emergency calls, and performing duties related to EMS, fire suppression, and community outreach.
  • Operates a variety of firefighting and rescue tools, including hydraulic tools, power saws, axes, ladders, hoses, wedges, ropes and knots, and pry tools during hands-on training and real emergencies.
  • Actively participates in realistic training, including fire suppression tactics, structural search and rescue, hose line advancement, forced entry techniques, and ladder operations.
