Prelim

• Establish boundary for preliminary surveys and occasionally real estate transactions.
• Lead meetings with inspectors, project managers and engineers to plan preliminary routes.
• Establish preliminary routes for pipeline and electrical lines.
• Line locating proposed routes to ensure all pipelines and utilities are properly located.
• Construction staking for pipeline and electric lines.
• Establishing access roads as requested by clients.
• Establish sites as well as topo survey them if required.
• Keep a written log of daily work, including meetings, drawings and any problems.

Asbuilt

• Meet foremen, inspectors, contractors and any other necessary personnel to establish a working relationship.
• Attend all required safety meetings.
• Tally pipe and collect all data, both on paper and on an Excel spreadsheet. This includes but isn’t limited to, heat numbers, X-ray numbers, manufacturer, size, thickness, coating type and welder initials.
• Survey all welds, fabrication, foreign line crossings, waterways, test stations, fences, etc.
• Ensure required depth is met throughout line using natural ground shots.
• Maintain constant communication with project managers and inspectors throughout duration of job to ensure nothing is missed before backfilling begins.

• Fabricated metal components using precision tools and techniques to meet project specifications.
• Interpreted blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy in production processes.
• Conducted quality checks to ensure product satisfaction.
• Trained new hires on best practices and safety protocols in the workshop.
