During High-School while playing football, I was hit and given a concussion that left me with Post-Concussion Syndrome. It was something that I battled from my junior year of High-School to my sophomore year of College. It has definitely left its mark on me and been one of the hardest things to overcome in my life but what it taught me was that my life is short, some things require intense patience to overcome, and that anything worth fighting for will take a tremendous amount of effort on my part. It was not something that fixed overnight, and I want to take my pitfall in life and make it one of my greatest strengths. It taught me the skills to communicate with others how I was truly feeling as well as learning that I can't do everything on my own and that's okay. Having Post-Concussion Syndrome has led me to my choice in pursuing the Financial field in that I want to be able to help others any way I can possibly. Whether that is through Financial Assistance to start their dream, or even advising others on how to save properly for retirement. I want people to know that they are in safe hands when they are dealing with me and they can expect all of my effort in whatever I am doing. If I can help eliminate the financial stressors of the people I aim to work for, that is my ultimate goal.
I have always had a deep love for technology and along with that I have been able to grow my communication skills through very challenging team based games where you are required to rely on other people and you can't do everything alone. This goes hand in hand with any business organization because no matter how smart or great you are, without communicating to your peers and working as a team you will fall apart. You are only as strong as the weakest link. Another application that I have learned from my personal experience with technology and how it applies to the business world is that it ultimately is not what you know, but who you know. Arrogance will lead to anyone's downfall, and by having the ability to rely on people and have them hold you accountable will help you to succeed way more than going at it alone.
