As an Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) at CCHCS skilled at providing medication administration by consistently practicing the Six Patient Rights. Specifically, as an LVN I take responsible for coordinating the LVN clinics in housing units working with a primary care team, performing/reading vital signs, EKGs, vaccinations, and other nursing care duties. As an LVN assist in MD line by processing patient paperwork, noting Provider orders, and working closely with Pharmacy. Moreover, LVN administer tuberculin skin test, Hepatitis B, Flu and varies other injections in Receiving and Release (R&R) also clinic in the setting; conduct visual and auditory acuity measurements in clinic settings; dress superficial injuries; and perform all assigned nursing procedures at the bedside in licensed facilities of the prison. Will be providing observation and therapeutic intervention consistent with the patient's physical and psychological status, evaluating effectiveness of the patient treatment regimen, and recording progress.

• Administered prescribed medications and started intravenous fluids to address patient symptoms and underlying etiologies.
• Answered patient calls, identified issues and determined how best to provide assistance within parameters established by facility and supervisor.
• Monitored infection control procedures to verify facility-wide health and safety.
• Work direction of clinic/department, including customer service. professional behavior & development, assignment & scheduling of work and performance of functions.
• Observed strict confidentiality and safeguarded all patient-related information.

Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols, including Methadone and Suboxone
Use automated dispensing system(s), calibrate pump and maintain dispensing equipment
Produce and maintain appropriate records and reports as required by Company protocol, Federal and State Regulations
Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in the Code of Federal regulations
Order, receive and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations. (If granted Power of Attorney)
Provide daily assessment of patients
Assist Nursing Supervisor to orient new nursing staff
Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Administer medication in a safe manner. Take vitals signs. Called doctor when change of condition. Implements plan of care initiated by RN, assesses and provides patients and family education regarding self-care techniques, and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care, and performs other duties assigned by the RN. Maintain professional demeanor in all interactions with patients and staff. Maintain unit specific work requirements and competencies with in a time frame required. Identifies and support new ideas. Former with nursing processing. Prioritizes and delegates work assignment appropriately to ensure completion of patients care activities.

Read and recorded temperature, pulse and respiration.
Collected urine and fecal samples. Assisted with adequate nutrition and fluid intake. Plan, prepare and served meals/snacks according to prescribed diets. Provided transportation, assistance and companionship to clients assist with transferring residents in and out of wheelchair's and adaptive equipment.
